Welcome Our Newest Veterinarian — Dr. Amanda Házy!

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Amanda Házy will be joining Hoof & Paw Veterinary Services as of November 2025, as one of our veterinarians! With a strong background in both equine and small animal medicine — and a passion for providing exceptional patient care — Dr. Házy is a fantastic addition to our team.

Dr. Házy’s journey in veterinary medicine is both impressive and inspiring. After traveling across the United States during childhood, she settled in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. She went on to earn her B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology from Liberty University before beginning the dual DVM–PhD program at Virginia Tech in 2015.

During her doctoral studies, Dr. Házy researched traumatic brain injury and published ten scientific papers related to her work. She completed her PhD in Biomedical and Veterinary Sciences in 2019 and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2022.

Dr. Házy enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine — from preventive care and diagnostics to surgery — and is dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality treatment to every patient she meets.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Házy enjoys riding horses, reading, running, and spending time with her family. Her warmth, expertise, and enthusiasm make her an outstanding addition to our practice.
